Save My Bag finally opens its first-ever store in Manila

Italian accessory brand Save My Bag recently celebrated the opening of its standalone boutique in Ayala Malls The 30th, Pasig with a colorful fashion performance introducing its most iconic bags. Guests were also treated to a shopping party spearheaded by Save My Bag co-founder Valentina Agazzi.

“We want everyone here to buy Save My Bag,” Valentina said. “I’m really happy we found a local partner who could engage our project and develop the retail business here in the Philippines.”

Originally created to be the cover of designer handbags for their clients, Valetina, together with her jeweler husband Stefano, started to give away the bags as gifts. “They used to take their designer handbags and put them inside,” she continued. “They started to ask for more and more bags. This is actually why the name is Save My Bag, it’s all about protecting your bags. And then people started to use it on its own as their daily bag.”

Now the brand houses more eight product lines under its name: Miss, Le Sac, Princess, Amanda, Madame XLight, Ciao Bella, Bella Girl, and Miss Girl. The highlight of Save My Bag products is the material used which is made with patented poly-fabric with lycra and low density foam. With these, the bags (and other accessories) are thick but lightweight, even lighter than neoprene. It’s also washable and sun-resistant, making it great bags to bring to any destination.

During the event, brand ambassadors Kelly Misa and Camille Co presented their favorite pieces from the current collection. “For me, I like the classic designs,” Kelly said. “I’m a mom so I need to be in classic styles that can fit everything. I love the fact that it’s washable! With my son’s cheesy fingers and then touching my bag, I need a bag that will survive that. And Save My Bag really works for my lifestyle.”

For Camille, the social media personality gravitates more toward the bright styles. “I also really like the slim bags,” she said. “It really takes your outfit to the next level because you get to play around with your bag. I really love all the different straps. So even if you have just one bag, you get to change the look so many different ways because of all the other trimmings and accessories.”
